Super Secret Ice Cream is a female-owned, small-batch ice-cream company that only uses real ingredients. We make our ice cream base in-house, with milk and cream from neighboring Hatchland Dairy Farm. Our flavors are born in our kitchen, inspired by everything from blueberries to maple sugar, and sourced from our local farm partners. No weird stuff, nothing fake. Just craft ice cream that’s genuinely delicious.

The Not-So-Secret Story

Founder Kristina Zontini started making ice cream as a creative alternative to her desk job. After many homemade flavor experiments, the batches piled up in her freezer.Calling it “super secret,” Kristina transformed an old ski tuning shed into a pick-up ice cream shack, and shared. Through word-of-mouth, a private Instagram account and a small email list of friends and family, word spread and neighbors asked for more.

With community support and lots of encouragement, the ice cream shack evolved into a brick and mortar shop on Main Street in Bethlehem, with a full team of flavor creators, churners, and scoopers.

How we make it

No shortcuts here! We love crafting ice cream from scratch. We start with local milk and cream from Hatchland Dairy Farm, milk powder from Vermont, and organic sugar to create our own ice cream base. Modifying each recipe to fit what ingredients we want to highlight with the perfect balance of sweetness & texture. Not all flavors share the same components—that’s part of the magic.

We steep and blend fresh produce from nearby farms, transforming baskets of squash, apples, berries, and herbs into vibrant, seasonal flavors. Our maple base uses Mount Cabot Maple sugar instead of organic sugar, and our chocolate ice cream base is specially crafted to balance perfectly with lots of TCHO chocolate. But it gets even better—we bake, chop, and mix everything that goes into our ice cream right here at our Bethlehem scoop shop. You’ll also find our very own creamy, vegan-friendly ice creams and vibrant fruit sorbets.

But what’s an ice cream base? Ice cream base is the liquid mixture of milk, cream, sugar, and eggs (or sometimes made without eggs!) that is churned and frozen to make ice cream.

Scoops Without Compromise Super Secret Ice Cream doesn’t negotiate on the quality of our ingredients or the craft of ice cream making. We believe in supporting the entire food system, including our staff, community of growers, and the land that provides our ingredients.
