Are we open year round?

Yes, of course we are…ice cream tastes great no matter the season. During the winter we’re closed Tuesday/Wednesday but we’re open everyday in the Summer.

Is your ice cream homemade?

It sure is, we craft all of our ice cream with local dairy from Hatchland Farm and source as much local produce, herbs & grains from our regional farmers.

Allergies….

Our ice cream is made and scooped in a kitchen that handles nuts, gluten, dairy, and other common allergens, so we can't guarantee any flavor is free from cross-contact.

Always let your scooper know about any allergy or intolerance, and we'll share everything we can about ingredients and how a flavor is made. Please reach out to us with any specific questions so we can provide the information you need to make a safe and informed decision.

A heads-up on a common one: a majority of our flavors contain eggs, but we always try to have an egg-free flavor and vegan flavors available too. (i.e. sherbets are egg free & of course vegan flavors)

Our safest options, with the lowest risk of cross-contact in our kitchen, are our packaged items: hand-packed ice cream pints, fruitsicles, sorbet pops, ice cream bars, and ice cream sandwiches.

If you're looking for scooped flavors, our cabinet is designed to lower the risk of cross-contact, with separate wells for each tub. The wells keep the flavors themselves from touching and stop stray bits of ice cream from falling into other tubs as scoopers move through the case—though it's not a perfect system. Our scoops sit in a continuously running rinse well, but the same scoops are used across all flavors. Please let your scooper know if you'd prefer a freshly rinsed and sanitized scoop for your order—we're always happy to do that. It lessens the risk, though of course it isn't foolproof.

We understand navigating allergies is hard, and we want to have an option for everyone. With our limited space and high volume of business, we can currently offer only a limited number of dedicated allergen-safe options. This is a bummer because we know this is important, but we're going to continue working on our allergy options. For now, we want to be as transparent as possible and cautious about what we can honestly promise.

Do you ship ice cream?

Sadly, we do not! Maybe some day but for now it’s waaaaayyy too expensive and we do not have access to dry ice. Come visit, it’s fun up here in the mountains!

Where else can we find Super Secret?

For now, you can only find Super Secret at our scoop shop but there is one place that scoops our ice cream on their menu, Polly’s Pancake Parlor! Give them a visit, they’re the best.

Do you cater?

We’re currently too busy to offer catering at the moment but maybe in the future, we’re sorry!

Can you donate to our cause?

We wish we could give everyone a donation that requests support. As we grow we hope to be able to say yes more. We’ve started a school lunch program fund for our local elementary school so no child is hungry at school and the majority of our donation budget will be given to this initiative. We are currently focused on making our business economically sustainable, paying a living wage & supporting our local farms but as we grow, we’re excited to extend our donations to more causes! :)
